11-29-22   THOUGHTS

Below are some passages that we will study in our Tuesday morning class to set a study on the word “FULLNESS".   It is a rich word as used in the New Testament.  It is God’s desire that the FULLNESS that dwells in Christ would come to dwell in us!  O how He loves you and me!

Gal 4:4  But when the fullness of the time came, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the Law,  5  so that He might redeem those who were under the Law, that we might receive the adoption as sons.
Col 1:18-19    He is also head of the body, the church; and He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, so that He Himself will come to have first place in everything. 19  For it was the Father’s good pleasure for all the fullness to dwell in Him,
Col 2:3  in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
Col 2:9  For in Him all the fullness of Deity dwells in bodily form,
Col 3:11 [a renewal] in which there is no [distinction between] Greek and Jew, circumcised and uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave and freeman, but
Christ is all, and in all.
Eph 1:18-23    I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints,  19  and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe. These are in accordance with the working of the strength of His might  20  which He brought about in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places,  21  far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come. 22  And He put all things in subjection under His feet, and gave Him as head over all things to the church, 23  which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.
Eph 3:19  and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God.
Eph 4:13  until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature man, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ.
John 1:16     For
of His fullness we have all received, and grace upon grace.

My  Prayer:
O God, may we see You not in part, but in your fullness.  May we all attain maturity in You.  Help to grow continually.  Give us the joy of your salvation in our souls.  With thriving zeal, may we lift up your name and the name of your Son on this earth.   As we believe, O Lord, may we speak.    May your grace and mercy and love abound within us.  We want to abide in you, and you in us.   We ever pray in the name of our Lord Jesus,     Amen.
Prayers for Connie, Sherry, Heather and Bob.
